So then.
Storming win to bolster our playoff hopes?
Draw (as we mainly do there) to perhaps keep us in with a minuscule chance?
Loss and even more minuscule chance of playoffs?
Spennymore winning last night has knocked some sense into me and I think we’ll draw at best. Obviously hope I’m wrong.
2-2 with Glendon and Peers scoring.

The Honda 50 has had an MOT and full service and is purring. Will be setting off about 6am to get there for this huge titanic battle. Cal will have the grime tunes belting out on the team bus. V confident of 3 points. COYB

I’ll say a narrow 2-1 win to keep the hope alive a little longer. Rare goal from Murray & one from Tom Peers.

That time of the year for our annual draw at brackley Going for a 0-0 thriller 360 blues Highly unlikely to be 0-0. We will have to come out and go for it and Brackley will also be looking for the win to secure a top 3 place. I can see at least 4 goals in this - 1-3 and another 'we win away' day.

I recall the ref giving us umpteen fouls in the last five mins for multiple long balls into the area and one finally paid off. Home crowd weren’t too happy with it!

Personally I don't care how we perform tomorrow, at this stage of the season performances go out the window & focus switches to the result, so please just get the win lads. All we can do is hope for a slip up from the teams above us.

Would have to allow Williams to cross the half way line for set pieces first, unless you foresee him finding the back of the net with a 30 yard screamer!

I think some people on here are still failing to see the gravity of the situation - anything less than a win and the season is done.

This is the kind of game where we'll go out and play well against a well organised opponent and get at least a draw.
However, I'm going for a 1-0 defeat in front of 260 Chester fans.
Really hope I'm wrong but I think the season was over when we lost to Alfreton and probably half over after South Shields game.

We've done pretty well against the top teams, so I'm going for a 3-1 victory for the Blues.
Still won't make the playoffs though. 😕

We’ve ran riot on the road lately, having scored 10 goals in just two games, but it’ll be a much tougher test for us tomorrow. Brackley Town may have secured yet another place in the play-offs, but I doubt they’ll take their foot off the gas, as they’ll be wanting to secure a spot in the semi-finals by finishing in the top three. Our slim hopes of the play-offs were kept alive at least for another seven days, as we trounced Gloucester City 1-6 last Saturday. It was a superb performance throughout, as we dominated possession, and created some fantastic openings that were clinically taken to bolster our goal difference, while relegating a woeful Gloucester side at the same time. At least we’ll be going into this game with confidence under our belts, which will definitely help, as we can’t be going into a season-defining match with a lack of belief. It’ll take quite a lot of things to swing our way if we were to somehow sneak into the play-off spots. As a bare minimum we must win our last two games, plus on top of that we’d need two of South Shields, Spennymoor Town, and Curzon Ashton to drop at least three points, as well as Boston United who’ve played a game less than us. Sadly I can’t see us pulling it off, but all our lads can do tomorrow is give it absolutely everything, and I’m sure they will. For now all they can worry about is what they can produce themselves on the pitch, before looking at the wider picture. It’ll be a sixth trip to Brackley for me, so let’s hope we can get a positive result to take the fight into the final day.
Score - Brackley Town (Dean) 1-1 Chester FC (Weeks).
Attendance - 1,301 (317 Chester FC).

Can’t see beyond a draw today I’m afraid. It’s going to take one hell of an impressive sacrifice to the Footballing Gods to get us into the playoffs.

I’m going for a narrow defeat and our season fizzles out. I’m saying this as I’m usually wrong with my predictions - and that the near miracle of a play off berth is achieved….

Brackley’s form since the turn of the year must be as good as any side in the league and they’ve won a lot of games lately against sides in the top half. Wouldn’t surprise me if this is the year they finally prevail in the play-offs.
Think it may well boil down today to how up for it Brackley are - and unfortunately they probably will be given they are chasing a top-three spot. Hope we can win it but will go for yet another draw away to them, even though it won’t really help either side in terms of achieving their respective goals.

A win gives us a slim chance of a playoff place, a draw is no good. Hopefully a win and results will go our way for once!

We've taken down some good, in-form teams. Anything could happen, but I'm going to remain optimistic. Here's hoping for things to go our way and give us everything to play for next weekend.
