Any thoughts on re- signing him? Not wanted at Oldham and 12 months left on his 2 year contract? Could we even afford him? Would have made the play offs with him instead of Tollit on loan.

He was always rubbish, and not fit to wear the shirt.
Just thought I'd mix it up a bit!

The last 3 threads you have started have all been titled ‘Kurt Willoughby and ‘Willoughby’ 👍🏼 Didn’t upset me just think the whole subject is boring and been done to death.

Get a grip. Players don't have loyalty at this level its a wage for them, a decent one, but not a fantastic one, so they go where money is.kurt was a good player for us and scored a few goals

Just me who doesn’t think on this occasion that it should be all that controversial to discuss the prospect of him coming back? I know it’s been a seemingly-constant topic since he left, so it’s not a surprise that people are tired of these threads popping up, but for once I actually think it’s something appropriate and realistic to talk about, with Oldham presumably looking to move him on in the summer.

I'd actually agree, I'm sure some clubs will still be after him and a lot of times it's about the money. However he was adored here and as many will know it's not just about the cash when changing a job if you don't get the same enjoyment after moving. Not saying he will come back but you never know! Also he isn't the best footballer but knows where the net is.

It's never been a ridiculous suggestion that he might come back here, either permanently or on loan, as it was obvious from the first few months of the season his opportunities were going to be limited at Oldham. The problem is when it comes up again and again and again, it's not saying anything people aren't already aware of and it makes us look a bit obsessed. Calum isn't stupid. I'm sure if there is an opportunity to bring him back here, he would do his utmost to make it happen.

He didn't get a look-in at a mid-table NL team. Surely if he wants to play in England he'd have to look at the NLN?

He doesn't really seem to have shown much form when he has played higher.

We've been here before many times....clamouring for a former player to return and more often than not it's never as good second time around. He left as he felt like he'd done his time at this level - no ill feeling from us or him, coming to Chester was the opportunity to get back on track and show what he's about. Oldham was never going to be a good move but I can see why he did it. If he came back I'd seriously question whether he has the same levels of hunger - it's almost like an admission of failure to go elsewhere and come back cos it didn't work out. If he's at this level then I imagine it will be at either a full time team, or a part time club paying top wages - we are neither of those. Sometimes its better to leave a good thing in the past. I don't even think he was all that amazing - he knows where the net is but that's about it, got nothing in terms of hold up play or beating a man, so you've gotta give him a supply otherwise he'll be totally redundant.....there's no way he'd have got 20 goals in this Chester team.
