Wouldn't miss either of Brackley or Boston personally. Brackley probably deserve it for always being up there, plus I still feel a bit shitty about what happened this time last year myself.

But they’re an easy away day for me, so for that reason I want them to stay down. Plus it’d be funny. Must be soul destroying being nearly rans for so long.

Boston presumably also consider themselves to be perennial nearly men. Been in this league for 14 years and believe this is the sixth time they’ve made the play-offs, including twice being beaten finalists in recent years. The time has come where finally one out of them or Brackley go up.

For anyone interested in playoff trivia from the lower divisions, Charnock Richard of the North West Counties League ended up playing six games in ten days at the end of their season, won all six and made the playoffs by one point. They're away at Bury tomorrow.

It really is appalling the way part time clubs with a small squad of players who have other jobs/commitments are made to complete such a schedule and these overpaid wankers moan and get possible lifelines for these clubs scrapped because 6 clubs might have a couple of extra european games to play it makes me fucking sick

Massive failure for Scunthorpe not to go up, they were banking on strolling this league with ease which they should have done really but haven't as it turns out.
As for the final I said after Brackley beat us a few weeks ago that I hope they do it as I'm sick to death of them. Neither would be a great loss to this league though so at least we're getting rid of one of them.

They're away at Bury tomorrow. Similar to this, Truro ended up playing ten games in twenty days, 'home' games were played at Gloucester’s Meadow Park… a 400 mile round trip!! I seem to say this every couple of seasons but it's madness that the lower leagues finish the regular season at the end of April - considering the amount of games that get called off with any bad weather and the amount of league/ local cup games these teams can play, the season finishing so early is just bizzare!!!

I only hope that the rumours of their cost-cutting next season prove to be true. This time last year their fans were all over the socials, proclaiming how they were going to wrap up the league by Christmas and that they were gracing this tinpot league with their very presence. Nothing like a dose of reality to sober them up.

McConville (35) left Accrington Yes/no?7 10000% Weird why people think 35 is over the hill these days. Maybe so in the 80’s but with fitness and nutrition most good pro’s go to 37-38. He’d dictate this league. Get him in.

So Macc or Marine next season. Hope NY's boys pull it off. Obviously Macc would be a huge fixture for us, but can see them being a serious force in NLN if they go up.
