Good interviews with Cal and Jim tonight. Sounds as though Cal has learnt a lot from this season, being very honest in how the way we setup this year hasn't worked, we need a new system, he wants a smaller squad next year but a squad he knows will constantly be available.

Good honest interview I thought, sounds like it’s going to be an interesting close season Let’s hope we get the recruitment right this year

Very good interviews from both. Honest assessments of the season and what we need in the summer to ensure we improve next year. Both Jim and Cal have done a good job over their tenures and I’m confident they are the two blokes to get us in the top 4 next year and have a right go at achieving promotion.
I’m confident Cal will recruit what we need but I do want the club to be as transparent as possible about the proposed fanzone. Matchday experience matters to me and if the plan is being funded by grants or requires fundraising this needs sharing with us all so it can be paid and built straight away. I know lots of time and planning has gone into it, but what money is needed from the fanbase and when can we expect to be using it? Shipping containers, licences, fences and electric is what I remember from the plans, how long will it take and how much do we need to raise?

A very good, honest, and frank interview from Calum McIntyre. I’m pleased he acknowledges that we need a lot more height, experience, and physicality for next season. In midfield especially, we’ve lacked height for years, so we need to sign a couple of strong lads who are tough in the tackle, and can win those first/second balls for us. I’m not saying we go all route one, as I’d like us to be more expansive next season by using the width, but we’ll need to find the right players to prevent us from being too compact in the centre of midfield again. As Curva Nord said on another thread, we could really do with a nasty bugger up top, in the mould of Jon Parkin/Matt Rhead, which’d at least offer something different. Our players have been far too quiet out on the pitch this season, so we need some proper leaders and more bite in our side. Calum rightly said a couple of weeks ago that we need the right personnel, so if that means he has to make tough decisions in his retained/released list, then so be it. It was a refreshing interview, and Cal comes across as having learnt a lot from this campaign - the second-half of it in particular. The sound bites seem encouraging, so I’m confident that he’ll make the right additions in order to get us competing near the top again. Once tomorrow’s over, a huge, and hopefully exciting close-season begins…

A Good honest Interview and Cal is learning his trade as a young manager, It will be an interesting closed season and I just hope the retained list doesn't drag on like in previous seasons. Cal has some tough decisions to make but get it done and lets move on and look forwards to the next campaign.

Having listened to this as I said in the other thread it seems Cal agrees entirely and will be making changes along similar lines to what I have suggested . I’m sure he will assemble a side that will be challenging at the top end of the table

Excellent interview and has already got me looking forward to next season, hopefully get the target signings. Strangely it feels like this season has probably done some good, it has made us take a step back and evaluate how the club needs to progress on and off the pitch.
