I think the majority will renew regardless but those who are on the fence either because of money or work meaning they won’t be able to get to as many games as they did last year, or those sort of things, they’re the ones who can get swept up in a wave of enthusiasm if we make exciting signings & end up renewing when they might not have otherwise. I don’t think the retained list makes a difference in the slightest in that regard but it’s the first step of the off-season signing rollercoaster & for that reason I buzz off it.

Serious question, do people really wait and see what players the club have signed before renewing season tickets? As a supporter for 40 + years a season ticket renewal is a definite. Supporters are a fickle bunch , we put up with the highs and lows but the truth is we are always Blue... our time will come 🥅🏴🙂⚽️🙃

I love pre-season. The news of new signings, the excitement for pre-season friendlies on long grass at grounds I've never been to and the hope that this will be our year.

Is anyone really that arsed about today’s performance? It’s not as if winning would’ve got us anywhere - to me, it just seemed to be a game between two sides who knew there was nothing to play for and were happy to see out the season in rather inauspicious fashion. Not exactly a scintillating performance from Darlo, but thought they had the makings of a very good side, and would expect them to be back challenging for the playoffs next season with Watson confirmed to be staying on. Sad to see what’s become of Asante these days - actually in better shape physically than I expected, but he was second to everything and his touch and what little pace he had have completely gone. Seems as though all the injuries have well and truly caught up with him, and if he’s serious about continuing his career for as long as he can and attempting to get back to any kind of form then he might have to drop down a couple of divisions. Nice of him to come over and take some applause from us at the end, though. From our point of view, I don’t have a lot to say as I think everything has already been discussed to death in the last few days and weeks. Hopefully the retained list is published at some point in the next week, so we can begin to plan for next season - and so we can have something else to talk about beyond the batshit stuff that’s been posted on here recently! yes i'm arsed, paid £18:00 and want to see a competitive game, todays game looked like a pre season friendly.

Pre Season started early hasn’t it? They played like it. It's a new concept we are trying out, the in-season friendly.
