- VAR and the constant talk about it. It WILL ruin the game - Crap seats with no legroom at grounds. In fact, having to sit at matches in general - Nonsensical red tape, such as players having to wait for international clearance when they move from Chester to Connah's Quay - All chants to the tune of Sloop John B - People who assume that Chester's ground is a field with a bit of tape around it and you can get in for 50p

Being "Blown away" by an interviewed candidate. What has the interviewers sexual preferences got to do with the job?

Players releasing autobiographies when they're still playing.

Some World Cup specials...
Players running after the ref doing the VAR 'television' signal
TV companies focusing on Heads of State shaking hands after a goal has been scored
3rd/4th place play offs. It's not the Olympics!
TV companies showing how England fans reacted in some bar/park when a goal was scored. We get it... when England score people cheer!

When the camera shows somebody in the crowd, and they notice themselves on the screen in the stadium and start waving at it, which usually actually means waving in the opposite direction to the camera.
Players arguing that the ball has or hasn't gone over the goal-line, even though we now have a technology system that proves it.
Teams putting a man on the post at a corner, yet still failing to stop a goal going in at that post.
The build-up and hype every time Ronaldo steps up to take a free kick. No doubting his quality, but he's actually a very average free kick taker who takes ages to take it, and 95% of the time blasts it into the wall or way over the bar. Bale is 10 times better with set pieces.

Also in the world cup why does every nation have to have a player linked to someone in the premier league? All the commentators for ITV must have made up rumours about at least one player that played in each game.
Also when commentators claim someone from Panama has a great left foot or is a great set piece taker, well if they were so great they wouldn't be playing in the Ecuadorian second division would they?

Brendan Rodgers who believes in his own hyperbole I honestly believe Celtic would struggle in the championship IMO.

Obviously nobody agrees with me on this, so I'll give it a rest!
All I'm saying is there must be a reason why we don't want to name them! We're not the only club that does it, and it seems more and more common in this age of forums and social media.

Double standards by officials when the ball crosses a line. I’m sick of seeing throw-ins given by linesmen when the ball hasn’t wholly crossed the line.

Everyone knows the rule, but half the ball crossing the line has now become the norm, so you get players and managers going apoplectic when they know full well they are in the wrong!

Wouldn't describe Brackley as a shithole, just a bit dull. Boston certainly 'has issues'.

Definitely remember a few decent boozers. Especially that one just down form the ground at the bottom of the hill.

Having watched the Spurs match last night... When keepers try every trick in the book to waste time; the ref points to his watch as though he's got it all under control - but only gives 3 minutes injury time!
Shame really, as I thought he reffed the game really well apart from that. Hardly surprising keepers waste time if they know they can get away with it!

Since this thread has been revived, surely the incident in the Leeds v Villa game last weekend shows it’s time something was done about this nonsense custom of kicking the ball out for the other team? You’ve got a situation the ref has no power to control, where teams are expected to act against their urge to win in a misguided show of “sportsmanship” - in a game with very little sportsmanship left in it.
Let the ref decide whether to stop the game or not. If you want to kick the ball out yourself, that’s up to you, but if you do, it’s a throw-in to the other team and the ball is back in contested play.
Probably right that Villa we’re allowed to score, because Leeds were sneaky in feigning to kick it out, but all they really did was abuse what is a stupid custom.

Why not just let the trainer come on the pitch and play on, like they have done in egg chasing for absolute years. I guarantee the vast majority of "injuries" wont happen, take Fabinho last night in the first half, goes down slapping the floor with his hand in agony, ref has none of it, play goes on and guess what , he gets up and is running about like nothing happened.

Watching old coverage on the Sky website, it reminds me of some of the daft things Andy Gary would say, such as, "Take a bow son... and I mean that"
