Ours is much better than Curzon's but similar to Alfreton's. Job done today and in style but got a horrible feeling we won't get over the line in terms of finishing 7th. Wish our last two games were away on current form! I can see us getting 4 points off our last 2 games which will not be enough. The annoying thing is that there is a good team in there somewhere and we should be comfortably in the playoffs, Our home form and tactics have really cost us Yep that's my worry too. Looking at the three above us, Alfreton probably have the hardest games but they have a game in hand against Gloucester so they'll likely go to six above us. Can't fault these last two away performances but they've just made the home draws and losses all the more frustrating. Stranger things have happened in football though so trying to keep the faith

Hopefully Brackley take their foot off the pedal as play offs secured and Darlington are safe by the time we play them. Can’t see Alfreton or Curzon slipping up though

Football is a funny old game. After Monday, who would believe we'd get 6 in the next game

Great win. Also need to remember Boston & Spennymoor also each have a game in hand on us despite being level on points. Need a bit of a miracle for playoffs but stranger things have happened.

Our best hope is South Shields, who have to go to Tamworth. We would still have to win both games and hope to take it on goal difference, but it would be possible.

Boston have to go to Hereford and Spennymoor to Alfreton, so hope there. We can only control our own part of the equation.

South Shields are the ones to catch. They play Tamworth next week. Tamworth might have already won the league, but they're still a better a team. Our goal difference will be better than South Shields if we make up the 3 points. Southport is their last game.

As solid a win that was, I do think it's all come a bit late.
We're 3 behind Curzon, but level on points with Spenny and Boston who both have a game in hand on us,
Curzon look the ones to catch due to their inferior goal difference but their last 2 games are against already relegated sides.
Not to mention we have Brackley next, the form side in the league at the moment, they are absolutely flying of late.
I just can't see us making it, too much has to swing our way for us to sneak in there

Clearly Burke should have been used as a striker. More like we should be lobbing balls from set pieces in to the box to him more often. Yeah I know I'm like a broken record with that.

Fantastic result and it gives us a sniff. I’ll hold my hands up and say after Monday I didn’t see it coming. We have to follow it up at Brackley. Win the next two and we’ll squeak in I think.

Looks like Cal is going all out for a goalless draw with that line-up. 😂😂😂

Good job Gloucester's pitch isn't 3 yards shorter or we'd have lost 1-0.😂

This is what makes it so frustrating that we've slipped out of the playoff places. There's no way the likes of Curzon and Alfreton are better teams than us, they've just equipped themselves better over 40+ games. With the players we've got we should never have been going into the last few games needing snookers. But credit where it's due for today. Even in the Neil Young days it wasn't often we scored six away from home. It hard to say they’re not better teams than us when they’re above us. Surely that proves the point?

Just back as live nr Bath. It was 4-1 at 92 mins! How this team isn't in the play offs when they can play like that I don't know.

Because we've been piss poor at home for months. 3 games have defined our season, a depleted Curzon at home and struggled to a 0-0 losing at home to Southport and then losing to Alfreton on Monday. It's cost us the playoffs

It's cost us the playoffs Every game we haven’t won this season has cost us a place in the playoffs. I’m not certain it’s as simple as saying it’s down to a few games in particular.

Yeah, the league table doesn't lie and all that, and if they finish above us they will have deserved it. I suppose I'm just saying it feels like we've underachieved. No point moaning about it now though, and if we can somehow win these last two games, there's still a chance.

You could put it down to the 1st game of the season losing to Bishop Stortford was scandalous

It’s actually pretty good we’re as high up as we are considering our recent struggles.

Damn you hope!

It shows how good we were up to Christmas and then how we’ve capitulated since….. The hope is still there though

There is definitely hope, or the possibility....football is never predictable to use the overused cliche. What a great day out though today was.

We have had many posts on here saying get rid and the players aren’t good enough ,but games like today and Buxton prove they are good enough to not just make the playoffs but win the league .we just needed Cal to believe.

We need him to stop being so stubborn and arrogant, and perhaps listen to others for advice, including our senior players.
